Still life.

I think still life will make a comeback soon. That notion is based on a little media trend I picked up over the last couple of days. First I heard about it this weekend on Swedish Radio when a listener phoned in and asked if classic still life was totally dead. Then I read about an art school that teaches the traditional techniques in the morning paper today. I think still life lived on through photography and now it’s time to make a return to the canvas.

Return.

There is always something strange about returning to an old workplace. Stuff and people have moved around and moved on, like you. And all the feelings you once experienced here are either forgotten, toned down, enhanced or totally glorified.
But returning to the museum where my old and new life met and had a drink, always makes me varm at heart.

Fossils.

A couple of fossil shots from when I used to work at The Swedish Museum of Natural History. Back then I was in the studio all day shooting fossils and then masking them meticulously. It is quite different from how I work nowadays and I kind of miss it sometimes.
