In the Swedish Östergötland.

I started one of my summer projects today by taking some test shots. I tried to find Richard Avedon’s “In the american west” but that wasn’t easy so I ended up doing all the preplanning and research on my computer. No biggie, but if any of you got a copy for sale, please drop me a mail. Thanks Anna for the behind-the-scenes.

The massive Game of Thrones.

My old RPG-heart is beating very fast after watching the first couple of episodes of HBO’s fantasy-series Game of Thrones. Unlike most crappy fantasy on TV this one is all about politics and great acting. Not just poorly animated monsters, C-type actors and bullshit magic.

And I very much enjoy seeing Peter Dinklage in a major role again. The station agent really got me hooked on indie films, and it’s still one of my favorite movies.

So if you like a good story and enjoy the fantasy scenery, start watching.

A northerly fog.

I went through my archive the other day when I found a couple of shots from the Spitsbergen expedition 2009. I still wonder why I didn’t move my backpack out of the frame. But I like the diffused light and fog always creates an interesting backdrop.

Returning light.

And finally, the light is back. Thanks to the planets orbit, constant rotation and tilt we do anticipate this around the same time every year. But somehow it always feel special. So now we don’t have to go to L.A. anymore to get those nice evening photons. At least for the next couple of months.
