In short, my name is Mikael and I am a photographer.
The long version: I am a former palaeontologist who became a full-time photographer a couple of years ago. I’ve always been fascinated by creativity and my first steps to become an active creative was trough music.
Today photography takes up all of my working hours. I do mainly editorial and commercial photography focusing on interior, architecture and portraits.
I’ve kept one foot in the scientific community by documenting expeditions and shooting material for publications.
Our constantly changing planet fascinates me very much and I stay updated by reading a lot of books. The subjects range from planetary physics, peak oil, sustainable architecture, economic history and apocalyptic zombie scenarios.
Oh, and I love my son, my girlfriend and my dog Iris.
