Today we experienced a complete blackout in my part of town. It was pretty surreal and also felt a bit foreboding.

Pest, east of Buda.
I recently spent a well deserved weekend in Budapest with the family. We had a really good time just hanging out with friends and walking around this beautiful city.
Everything about the trip was all good except the local heat wave. We had 36°C at 10 o’clock in the evening. And no AC.
Old dudes skate session pt.1
It was great fun to revisit skateboarding for the first time in like 10 years. Oddly enough, after the initial 10 minutes of Bambi-type wobbly legs, we seemed to have gotten our old swag back. Maybe it’s like riding a bike. But with attitude.

These are a couple of portraits I shot of my friend Jonas. He works as a curator and he is also doing research in paleontology. He recently discovered the oldest plant fossil in Sweden.

Project preview.
These are the first shots from a new series of portraits of creative and interesting people around me. This is furniture maker Ylva, whom I first met when she helped me fix a pair of broken Mina chairs. She works in a studio located in the basement of her house.
Yoshiko Igbrude & The Herr Bozo Duo.
Last week I went to see an old friend of mine, Javier Herbozo, perform. He was playing together with Göran Lindelöw and Yoshiko Igbrude and it was all about nice laid-back jazz mixed with some latin percussion and japanese singing. A great combination which I hope to see recorded soon.

The newcomer.
So this is the reason why this blog has been quiet for a while. My newborn son. I can’t wait to get to know him!
Seeing what can’t be seen.
I took this shot at Skogskyrkogården yesterday evening, after the daylight was long gone. And it is pretty amazing how much information the camera actually registers. This photo looks almost completely black straight out the camera. But after a +4 exposure bump in post, it just springs to life.
